Make all child care $10aDay

BC currently has 7 different child care operating funding programs, resulting in inconsistent parent fees, wages, and often-inadequate day-to-day funding levels across the system, putting existing child care spaces at risk. Only ~10% of existing licensed spaces in BC are true $10aDay sites. This makes $10aDay child care in BC a lottery, with unfair fees for everyone who doesn't win.

The solution

Rapidly switch all/most existing licensed, publicly-funded child care programs to $10aDay sites using a single integrated operating funding model.
