There has been measurable progress on building a $10aDay child care system, but licensed child care spaces are still in short supply, waitlists keep growing, fees remain unaffordable for too many families, and educators still earn low wages for their important work.

In response, from November 20th to November 30th we’ll be joining allies across Canada for 10 Days of Action for $10aDay Child Care. Here are four ways to get involved:

1. Get a package of swag

Email [email protected] if you’d like us to send you a package of materials including stickers, buttons, print-outs and postcards (include your mailing address and let us know if you’d like postcards in any of English, Spanish, Chinese or Punjabi).

2. Download printable materials

• 1-page fact sheet on $10aDay progress, roadblocks and key solutions.

3. Share on social media

Follow our accounts, and comment and amplify our posts each day.

4. Do something special

Or choose to do something unique and special! Here are some ideas:

• Share your $10aDay child care story here
• Treat educators in a child care program to a special lunch or $10aDay cake
• Invite politicians to visit child care programs (newly elected MLAs, MPs, Mayor & Council, Chief & Council, School Board Trustees)
• Make customized signs that will be visible in your community
• Invite local post-secondary ECE students to get involved
• Reach out to new and diverse allies in your community
