Report back on Child Care Month in BC

What amazing energy for Child Care Month in BC - especially for the National Week of Action for Child Care that launched on May 9th. Thanks to all the parents, grandparents, and early childhood educators across BC and Canada who made child care visible in their community.

In British Columbia you held stroller brigades and rallies, you chalked it up for child care on side walks, you participated in an on-line Twitter storm, you wrote articles for local newspapers, you were interviewed for the TV news, you celebrated child care with children making posters, you shared child care information at health fairs and farmers markets, and together we were all amazing advocates! We hope we've captured the media articles on our website.

Thank you to fabulous advocates in Prince Rupert, Williams Lake, Prince George, Vernon, Campbell River, Dawson Creek, Vancouver, Duncan, Langley, Nelson, Victoria, Squamish, Comox, and Salmon Arm. Those are the places we heard there were child care actions happening and you sent us terrific photos - if we missed your event please be in touch and let us know!

Together we'll keep working for the $10aDay Plan in BC and we'll all Vote Child Care in 2015!
